DISCRIMINATION COMPLAINTS

The Metropolitan Council pledges that the public will have access to all our programs, services and benefits without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, physical or mental disability, receipt of public assistance, or age.

Equity Support Unit

The Equity Support Unit (ESU) is part of our Office of Equity and Equal Opportunity. The ESU provides many services including investigating complaints of illegal discrimination and assisting with policy development.

The ESU investigates a variety of illegal discrimination complaints, including complaints made by people who use our public services, people who apply for jobs, and people who work for the Met Council.

There are many options to file a discrimination complaint. There are many federal and local laws that protect against discrimination.

If you are a person who uses one of our public services such as Metro Transit, Metro Mobility, wastewater treatment, or one of the Metro HRA programs and you believe have been discriminated against, find out how to file a discrimination complaint for public services.
