Central Corridor partners & oversight

The Central Corridor light rail project is a multi-agency effort involving the Metropolitan Council, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), the cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, the Ramsey and Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authorities, and the University of Minnesota. See partners' responsibilities and contact information.

The Met Council will be the federal grantee and the lead agency for the design and construction of the project, working closely with MnDOT, the county rail authorities and the other project partners.

Central Corridor Management Committee

A 13-member Central Corridor Management Committee (CCMC) will provide advice to the lead agencies during the design and construction on the project’s scope, budget and schedule.  It will consider issues such as possible changes in alignment, the design and location of stations, and efforts to mitigate adverse impacts during construction. The committee meets the second Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m.

Advisory Committees

The CCMC will receive input and ideas from a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and a Business Advisory Council (BAC). See more information about the CAC, BAC and opportunities for public involvement.
