Take the Governor's Task Force survey by January 17

We need your voice!

Governor Dayton’s Task Force on Housing wants to hear from you. The Task Force website includes a survey about Task Force priorities. Residents and local officials can take the survey to help to inform the work of the Task Force and spread the word about this important work and how people and communities can have a voice.

Survey ends Jan. 17

But act fast to take the online survey by Jan. 17!
The Task Force is charged with identifying innovative strategies to create and preserve affordable homes and ensure successful and livable communities. The Metropolitan Council is among the agencies staffing the Task Force and is pleased to support this important initiative.
“We know that housing that’s safe and affordable eludes far too many families,” said Libby Starling, Deputy Director of the Council’s Community Development Division. “Working to address this issue is important not only to families, but to the health and prosperity of our communities and region.”

“Too many families across Minnesota struggle to afford quality housing,
forcing them to cut back on other essential needs like food, medicine, and education,”
said Governor Dayton. “This Task Force will develop new solutions
to address Minnesota’s housing challenges, and help ensure that
more families have access to safe, affordable places to live.
I urge Minnesota leaders to join me in carefully reviewing and
acting upon their recommendations.”
