The Metropolitan Council is receiving public comment on the draft update to the 2040 Transportation Policy Plan through Monday, August 13 at 5 p.m.
The Metropolitan Council is required by federal and state law to prepare a surface transportation plan for the seven-county metropolitan area. The proposed Transportation Policy Plan meets that requirement and supports Thrive MSP 2040, the development plan for the region. The proposed Transportation Policy Plan includes sections on transit, highways, aviation, freight, bicycle and pedestrian movement. This plan updates the 2040 Transportation Policy Plan adopted in January 2015.
