Franklin Operations and Maintenance Facility Modifications Pre-Bid/DBE Meet & Greet

Pre-Bid Presentation: 10:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Franklin O&M Tour: 10:30 – 12:00 p.m.

A Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the Minneapolis American Indian Center. Immediately following the Pre-Bid meeting there will be a site tour of the Franklin Operations and Maintenance Facility in Minneapolis. Due to the lack of parking at the Franklin O&M Facility, bus transportation will be available to shuttle attendees between sites.

The Southwest Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project (METRO Green Line Extension) will operate from downtown Minneapolis through the communities of St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie, passing in close proximity to Edina. The alignment is primarily at-grade and includes 16 new stations and approximately 14.5 miles of double track as well as 29 new bridges, modifications of seven existing bridges, two new LRT tunnels, and six pedestrian tunnels. Heavy construction is underway. The line is scheduled to begin passenger service in 2023.
