Project Complete - June 30, 2017
This project improved an approximately 2-mile section of regional sanitary sewer located along Shoreline Dr. (County Rd. 15) from Ferndale Rd. S. to Orono Orchard Rd. in the cities of Wayzata and Orono. This sewer transports wastewater to Metropolitan Council Environmental Services’ (MCES) Blue Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant in Shakopee. Approximately 2,000 feet of force main (pressurized) sewer at the east end of the project were replaced with a gravity-flow sewer. Over the remainder of the project area, the existing force main sewer along the side of Shoreline Dr. was supplemented with a second force main sewer constructed along the north side of Shoreline Dr.
