Comment on the draft parks plan via video

Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2020

Get out your phone camera and talk to the Metropolitan Council about plans to expand the regional parks and trails system in the seven-county metro area.

In addition to the usual methods of hearing responses from residents across the region, we invite you to comment via short videos about our draft update to the Regional Parks Policy Plan. The plan outlines the future for our system of 55,000 acres of parks and 44 miles of regional trails.

Specifically, we're looking for your views on these topics:

  • Adding parks and trails
  • Equitable access to the parks
  • Reconsidering history of the land
  • Environment, climate, and the parks

We would also like to hear what your dream regional parks and trails system would be like.
