Building quality, creating value with value-based engineering
The METRO Blue Line Extension light rail transit project will extend the existing Blue Line from Target Field Station northwest to Brooklyn Park and connect communities along the way.
The bidding and construction of the project will utilize a value-based approach that will consider criteria beyond the traditional lowest qualified bidder approach. As this work moves forward we are asking for industry feedback to help us design the best process possible.
Construction industry professionals are invited to join us for an information session to learn more about the BLE Project and meet potential teaming partners and suppliers/vendors. The session will include a presentation on the Project's construction schedule, constructability constraints and potential solutions, design progress, permitting status, and any recent changes from the OEEO processes.
