A roadmap gets you from where you are, to where you’re trying to go.
That’s the role of Minnesota’s 2014 Clean Water Roadmap; charting the course toward goals of protecting and restoring Minnesota’s water resources during the 25-year life of Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
The amendment to devote sales tax toward the Clean Water Fund is now more than five years old and is projected to raise about $90 million a year to help protect drinking water sources and protect, enhance, and restore lakes, rivers, streams and groundwater.
The roadmap, with the Metropolitan Council as one of the agencies charged with water management responsibilities, identifies outcomes, expected progress, and measurements of success.
