In February, the Metropolitan Council made appointments to three regional advisory groups: Equity Advisory Committee, Transportation Advisory Board, and Transportation Accessibility Advisory Committee.
The council relies on these committees to help develop solutions to regional challenges and bring diverse perspectives to inform our policymaking and operations.
Equity Advisory Committee
This committee advises the council in its work to advance equity in the metro region. It helps ensure that residents and communities are full partners in making the decisions that affect them. The goal is to create more equitable outcomes for the people who live and work here.
Eight of the appointees represent a geographic district; their terms run through January 2024:

Transportation Advisory Board
This board is a key participant in the region’s transportation planning process. State, regional, and local officials, transportation providers, and community members come together to shape transportation planning and recommend projects for federal funding.
The board includes 34 members, more than half of whom are local elected officials. The council appoints the chair, residents who represent geographic districts, and members who represent a variety of transportation modes. Appointments:
