About 1,600 fourth-graders from around the region participated in the Metro Children's Water Festival - a day of water education - at the State Fairgrounds September 27. The Council sponsors the event along with 25 other regional sponsors. Many activities are from Project WET, Water Education for Teachers. Chair Alene Tchourumoff joined the students this morning for several events, including interactive presentations on the "Incredible Journey" through the water cycle. She also participated in Gov. Mark Dayton's 25x25 water townhall meeting in Minneapolis. More information More about the Metro Area Children's Water Festival. Posted In: Council News, Planning, Wastewater & Water
