The Metropolitan Council’s Transportation Advisory Board (TAB) is receiving public comment on a proposed regionally significant amendment to the 2025-28 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The Minnesota Department of Transportation is requesting an amendment to add a project that makes several improvements near I-494 and I-35W in Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, and Eden Prairie. The improvements include extending the EZPass lane, reconstructing mainline pavement, improving drainage, rehabilitating bridges, and making other ADA improvements on the segments of I-494 from Penn Avenue to 34th Avenue and from U.S. Highway 169 to Minnesota Highway 100, and segment of I-35W from 86th Street to 76th Street.
