Project Description

This project rehabilitates and renews Metro Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) aging infrastructure and improves scum handling systems. The proposed project scope items are summarized below.
  • Replaces influent sluice gates
  • Repairs concrete in the east primaries, south influent channel, and gravity thickeners
  • Reclaims pavement to renew roads
  • Replaces eight programmable logic controllers
  • Rehabilitates wall tile at the compressor building
  • Improves scum systems
    • Constructs an addition to the east pre-treatment building to accommodate scum dumpsters
    • Replaces scum pumps and installs new piping and valves
  • Rehabilitates roof/heating ventilation air conditioning
    • Compressor building
    • East primary building

Project Schedule
Notice to proceed was issued on July 11, 2025. 

Substantial completion of the project is tentatively scheduled for July 2029, with final completion following in January 2030.
