Overview- In this session, we will delve into the Metropolitan Council's strategic goals and how they align with the mission of our Equity Advisory Committees (EAC). We will provide a brief recap of the EAC mission and demonstrate how it aligns with the Council's goals. Additionally, we will explore the specific purpose and charge of the EAC committees in further maximizing impact in advancing equity and addressing systemic barriers within the committee. Through this alignment and strategic focus, we aim to drive collective action and create a more robust and aligned committee to further prospective and community advocacy.
- Session 3- Strategic Visioning for 2024 and Proactive Planning for 2025- Lila Eltawely, Senior Equity Manager, OEEO and Torri Hampton Equity Officer 2, OEEO
Overview- In this session, we will focus on maximizing the impact of our Equity Advisory Committee through strategic planning. We will assess our current impact, identify areas for improvement, and strategically plan while understanding the committee's goals and objectives to forward committee advising for the rest of 2024 leading into 2025. We will work to amply this session through collaborative action and interactive workshop activities. With the aim to foster creativity, innovation, and collective action to propel us into next year.
