1/1/2025 – 6/30/2025 Regular Route 1-Cent Fares

The free fare pilot for Metro Mobility-certified riders on regular route buses and trains has expired. Metro Mobility certified riders will now be able to ride any regular route transit bus or train for 1 cent. When boarding a bus or train platform, simply touch your Go-To Card to the card reader to pay your fare. 1-cent fares will apply on all regional transit provider routes: Metro Transit, Maple Grove Transit, Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, Plymouth Metrolink, SouthWest Transit.

POD Updates

Metro Mobility certified riders can take same-day rides with contracted private transportation companies at subsidized rates.  These trips are not shared rides with other customers, they are premium direct rides straight from your origin to your destination and can be booked the same day.

Transportation Plus has been partnering with Metro Mobility for years to provide this service, and continues to do so.  Metro Mobility riders can book POD rides directly with Transportation Plus by calling 612-888-8888.  Rides can be booked online at tplusride.com, where an app can also be downloaded.

We also have a new POD provider!  We are pleased to offer POD rides through a partnership with Carepool effective immediately.  Metro Mobility riders can book POD rides with Carepool directly by calling 612-284-5204.  Metro Mobility riders can pre-register with Carepool at their website: www.carepool.us.  A Carepool app is coming soon.

Of course, all POD providers can accommodate wheelchairs, scooters and service animals.  If you have questions about the POD program, feel free to reach out to the Metro Mobility Service Center at 651-602-1111 or [email protected].
