The 2017 Customer Listening sessions for the 2018 budget were held on April 6, 2017 at the League of Minnesota Cities and April 13, 2017 at Golden Valley City Hall. At this forum, Environmental Services discussed insights into the budgeting process, the MCES governance process, capital spending, and the “why” behind MCES services and fees. All communities were invited to share primary customer concerns, and provide feedback on what MCES can do better.
The 2017 Budget Workshops were held on May 23, 2017 at Minnetonka City Hall and on June 8, 2017 at the League of Minnesota Cities. These workshops presented the drivers for the 2018 budgeting process, including information on debt service, Sewer Availability Charge, and the capital program. In addition, Environmental Services walked through the determination process for the Municipal Wastewater Charges (MWC) that were distributed to each community in May.
