The 2013 Twin Cities Metropolitan Region Freight Study addresses the need for a consistent, comprehensive, and coordinated freight planning framework for the region. As MnDOT and the Council continue to work together toward developing a regional freight strategy, this study provides direction that may enhance the region’s ability to compete for state and federal funds and to leverage private funds for freight improvements.
