Transit & Transitways

Enhancing our region's quality of life and economic competitiveness

Public transportation enhances quality of life and the economic competitiveness of the region.  The benefits of public transit go beyond simply having access to specific transit service.  Transit-oriented development (TOD) with mixed-use residential and commercial amenities can revitalize neighborhoods in many ways.

The Council works to improve the region's transit and transitways by studying transit options and best practices, and recommending improvements.
