The Golden Triangle area is a major regional employment center. Bounded by Hwy. 169 on the east, Hwy. 212 on the west and Interstate 494 on the south, the area has nearly 10 million square feet of industrial and office space. More than 20,000 people travel into and out of the greater Golden Triangle area every day.

Golden Triangle station design rendering

The design of Golden Triangle Station, above, will make it a recognizable gateway to the busy Golden Triangle area. The station will feature a single center platform serving both eastbound and westbound trains, and the platform will be easily accessible from the adjacent park-and-ride lot and West 70th Street.

The Metropolitan Council created this narrated design visualization showing key elements of the METRO Green Line Extension in Eden Prairie. The visualization shows SouthWest Station, Golden Triangle Station, and City West Station. It illustrates features of the light rail stations, pedestrian facilities, and how light rail will operate along with street traffic.
