The METRO C Line connects communities
The METRO C Line has been in operation since June 2019. Since then, development along the C Line has continued to enrich communities and bring more housing options, job opportunities, parks, businesses, and more.
History of the METRO C Line
Though the C Line began service in 2019 and was the second bus rapid transit line on high-capacity roadways in the region, addressing the transit needs on Penn Avenue, previously served by Route 19.
The Metropolitan Council, Metro Transit, Hennepin County, and the City of Minneapolis worked with local communities to shape the C Line’s design through extensive outreach. The C Line now connects residents to jobs, homes, and parks, offering faster, more frequent service and an improved transit experience.
Since 2019, the METRO C Line has supported the growth and enrichment of communities by accessibly and affordably connecting residents and communities with housing, jobs, businesses, parks, and more. Learn more about the METRO C Line.
