Many people who live, work and use recreational facilities near the route of the Southwest LRT Project have expressed interest in the potential noise and vibration impacts of the light rail line and the freight rail service that currently operates through the St. Louis Park and Minneapolis segment of the Southwest Corridor. The Metropolitan Council evaluated noise and vibration as part of the Environmental Impact Statement process, including measures to mitigate noise and vibration impacts where necessary.
