Capital Program & Projects
District 12 includes the cities of Afton, Bayport, Baytown Twp., Birchwood Village, Cottage Grove, Dellwood, Denmark Twp., Forest Lake, Grant, part of Grey Cloud Island Twp., Lake Elmo, Lake St. Croix Beach, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, Mahtomedi, Marine on St. Croix, May Twp., Newport, Oak Park Heights, Pine Springs, Scandia, St. Mary's Point, St. Paul Park, Stillwater, Stillwater Twp., West Lakeland Twp., Willernie, and Woodbury.
Lift Station Rehabilitation: Project 8055
Upgrades include reconstruction and replacement work for force mains and lift stations. Fuel tanks are being replaced to comply with current regulations.
SWC Interceptor - Lake Elmo Connections: Project 8063
The interceptor systems in Cottage Grove, Oakdale, Lake Elmo, Woodbury, and other east area communities need rehabilitation and/or replacement as well as expansion to serve additional areas. The Program will rehabilitate existing interceptor facilities, including gravity sewers, force mains, lift stations and meter stations, and analyze the system needs to accommodate regional growth.
Regional Plant Improvements: Project 8078
This program provides funding to address capital improvements at 8 regional wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs).
Interceptor Rehabilitation Program: Program 8090
This Program includes miscellaneous projects to rehabilitate failing facilities, address Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) sources, and addressing general needs of the interceptor system not programmed into a region or facility specific program. This Program also includes additional condition assessment work to complement the internal inspections work completed by operations, office space planning and design to accommodate all the staff assigned to the Regional Maintenance Facility, and property transfer between Council and municipalities in accordance with Council policy.
In addition to the major projects, there will be interceptor rehabilitation, lift stations, and meter improvement projects located in the district.
