Working together to improve transit in the Twin Cities region

The Metropolitan Council is the lead agency developing the METRO Blue Line Extension Project. Many public and private partners are working together with the Council to make this project a reality by contributing funding, oversight and expertise.

Hennepin County and the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority provide funding for the project. The County's Bottineau LRT Community Works program is involved in land use planning around light rail stations.
