The purpose of this meeting is to consult with property owners within the Robbinsdale West Broadway Avenue Residential Historic District regarding potential impacts to their properties as a result of the construction and operation of the Blue Line Extension Light Rail Transit Project. The boundaries of the district are shown at right.
Residents and property owners are encouraged to attend this meeting to learn about the proposed project, and to provide feedback. Staff from the Blue Line Extension Project and the City of Robbinsdale will be on hand to discuss impacts and mitigation strategies.
Project staff will present information on:
- Noise and visual impacts to adjacent properties
- Eligibility of the neighborhood to be designated a Residential Historic District under the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966
- Design of the nearby Robbinsdale Station
What is the West Broadway Avenue Residential Historic District?
- Located in Robbinsdale, including homes between North 42nd Avenue and Highway 100
- An architecturally diverse collection of Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Craftsman, and Prairie style homes
- The best remaining example of pre-World War II suburban housing (1920–1940) in the Robbinsdale area
- This area has been home to many prominent local residents
- Eligible for Residential Historic District status in the area of architecture
