The planned Blue Line Extension LRT project will operate within the current BNSF railway corridor that runs parallel to County Road 81 (Bottineau Boulevard) north of Bass Lake Road. To address visual quality issues presented by the property owners of Elmhurst and Hampshire Avenues during the recent Municipal Consent approval process, the LRT project office has committed to investigating screening options between the rail corridor and the abutting properties to account for visual impacts that would occur as a result of LRT operations.

The goals for the open house were to:

  • Provide information on visual screening options for properties along the planned LRT corridor between Bass Lake Road and 62nd Avenue.
  • Receive feedback from property owners about possible screening options.

Property owners on the east side of Elmhurst and Hampshire Avenues between Bass Lake Road and 62nd Avenue are encouraged to attend this meeting to learn more about visual screening options and to provide feedback to project and city staff.

For more information or questions about this event, please contact David Davies at the Blue Line Extension project office: 612-373-5336 or [email protected].
