Biography
Dr. Gail Cederberg seeks to build prosperous and equitable communities, where everyone has a safe and healthy place to live, thrive and belong. She is a water management expert, emphasizing the importance of water as a universal connecting element in regional development and land use policy. Cederberg seeks to engage and listen to all voices and increase collaboration with local partners to ensure we design and allocate our resources to support the needs of future generations. Cederberg serves on the Met Council Environment and Management Committees and the Clean Water Council and its Policy Committee as the Met Council representative.
Cederberg is a retired hydrogeologist and environmental engineer with more than 30 years of experience leading the remediation and reclamation of brownfields and Superfund sites. She has also managed environmental and health and safety compliance for organizations. In her previous work, Cederberg collaborated with the Met Council on redevelopment along the METRO Green line and environmental compliance of the Met Council’s wastewater treatment plants. Cederberg serves on the board of directors for Environmental Initiative and served as a board member of the Midway Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, Cederberg was selected one of the "Wonder Women of the Year" by Twin Cities Business Magazine for her efforts serving organizations, leading causes, and improving Minnesota's culture and economy.
