Biography

John Pacheco Jr. improves equity in the region through his work in the business and non-profit sectors, advocating for more economic and training opportunities for BIPOC communities. He is a regular transit rider who believes that safe, efficient, and reliable transit service, combined with effective community planning, provides a critical foundation for a prosperous community and region.  

Pacheco is the president and founder of the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Minnesota and a principal with Pacheco & Associates. He has extensive experience with the business community, including recent work with nonprofits to develop workforce initiatives that help close employment and training gaps for disadvantaged communities. He has been a director for the U.S. Bank Foundation and the Xcel Energy Foundation and has served on the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations.
