Community Engagement

The METRO Blue Line Extension Project relies heavily on community voices when making decisions about the project.

One of the project’s guiding principles is that we move at the speed of trust. We will not move forward until we have meaningful community buy-in. Our engagement efforts must be robust, inclusive and flexible to ensure we have an alignment that provides maximum benefit for the community. Our project principles reflect this commitment to the public and we will continue to meaningfully engage with the community as this once in a generation investment moves forward.

To learn more about our engagement efforts see below:

In addition to advisory committee meetings, the Metropolitan Council provides other opportunities for public involvement. Information on upcoming meetings and events will be posted here.

2021 Meetings and Events

A great opportunity for community members to come together and receive a project update from BLRT staff at upcoming in-person and virtual meetings taking place in July.

The Blue Line Extension Project relies heavily on community voices when making decisions about the project, so make your ideas heard and help chart the future of the Blue Line.

Anyone who requires assistance to participate in these events is invited to contact Blue Line Extension Manager of Public Involvement Sophia Ginis: Sophia.Ginis@metrotransit.org or 651-592-1911. Requests for special assistance should be made at least five business days in advance of the scheduled open house.
