2017 Open Houses

Project Status and Design Updates

In March and April 2017, the Metropolitan Council hosted a series of public open houses in communities along the METRO Blue Line Extension route. West Broadway Avenue Reconstruction Open House

Thursday, November 2, 2017, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
7217 West Broadway Avenue, Brooklyn Park

Design of West Broadway reconstruction between 71st and 74th Avenues was recently added to the METRO Blue Line Extension (Bottineau LRT) project. This is a joint effort by Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, and the Metropolitan Council to fully reconstruct West Broadway from the recently constructed County Road 81 project to north of Highway 610.

The METRO Blue Line Extension project has completed 60 percent of design and engineering for the 13-mile light rail line connecting Minneapolis, Golden Valley, Crystal, Robbinsdale, and Brooklyn Park. This open house is an opportunity to learn about the design process, review design concepts, and give feedback to project staff. Other project information will also be available including updates on LRT design issues.

If you require assistance to participate, please contact Juan Rangel at least seven business days before the scheduled meeting. Email: [email protected]; Phone: 612-373-5338.

Download a printable event flyer, including a map of the reconstruction area.
